Camisette is a relatively new term used to describe a camisole
with built in attached garters. Some may also call these garter camisoles or
even bustiers. However, just like a teddy with garters is called a teddiette, we
call a camisole with garters a camisette. For us, a camisette differs from a
bustier in that it is generally made of the same sorts of sheer mesh and lace
that camisoles are made of rather than the heavier fabrics found in bustiers.
Also, bustiers frequently have supportive boning, much like a corset while a
camisette does not have this supportive boning.
